Video Demostrations

These tutorials use Graderworks 3.00 which is not the newest version.

Graderworks 4 is similar but the user interface is different. In addition, Graderworks 4 has some new features.

Grading SOLIDWORKS Part Files

This example uses Graderworks to grade student's .sldprt files. First, Graderworks analyzes the files by extracting the mass, density and other properties, then Graderworks uses a geometric similarity algorithm to compute how close the student's file is to the correct answer.

The output.csv file is then opened in Microsoft Excel, and formulas are set up to compute a grade for each student. 10 points are take off if the material is not set properly, and 5 points are automatically taken off if the goemetry is not 100% correct.

The final grade is computed as the geometric similarity with respect to the correct answer minus any additional deductions.
